“Just because we can doesn’t mean we should.”
It’s been said before, but it bears repeating. Medical science has advanced to an astonishing degree, and with it reproductive technologies. A seemingly limitless number of fertility treatments and contraceptives are available to us, but is it right to use them? Many of these technologies show no regard for the sanctity of life, and it’s clear that pro-life concerns extend far beyond the doors of the abortion clinic. Christians should then carefully consider how God would have them navigate the waters of reproductive ethics among a faithless and twisted generation.
For 2015’s Sanctity of Life Sunday, Pastor Ryan preached a sermon, “Carefully and Consistently Pro-Life,” that addressed many of the issues. Since these are complex and important matters, we’ve compiled below some pro-life resources for further research. We want to equip the saints well so they can not only make God-honoring decisions for their own lives, but also help others who may have questions or come to them for counsel.
