Pastoral Apprenticeship // Fall 2021

Immanuel’s Pastoral Apprenticeship is a three-year program designed to raise up men from within the church who will shepherd this congregation for years to come, as well as, to train men to be sent out to churches in America and to the nations. We want to entrust the gospel message to faithful men who will be able to teach others also (2 Tim. 2:2). The program includes biblical and theological study in a classroom setting, as well as opportunities to observe and participate in practical, pastoral ministry. We want to see men grow in knowledge, character, and experience, so we structure our efforts to address all of these areas.

Interested? Find out more here. Deadline is August 29th.

IY Fall Camping Trip // October 15th–17th

Immanuel Youth Students // The fall season is coming! Pumpkin spice everything, cozy sweaters, football, the anticipation of Christmas music, and...our Immanuel Youth fall camping trip!! Will you be joining us, October 15th–17th? We will be carpooling to Sycamore Springs Park in English, IN (approx. 1 hr from the church) around 5:00p on Friday evening and will be rolling back in on Sunday morning right in time for the main service (though probably quite smelly).

More details to come (including an official registration form), but in order for us to get the ball rolling on logistics, we'd love your help simply getting a headcount by letting us know if you would be interested in joining us. RSVP here by July 25th.

*All 6th through 12th-grade students are welcome, including the upcoming class that will be officially joining IY on August 15th!

Immanuel Singles Conference // October 22nd–23rd

Immanuel is hosting a singles conference! Single or married, all are welcome and encouraged to attend. More details to come, but go ahead and save the date!

Transportation Team

Would you consider providing transportation for seniors or families—without their own form of transportation—to worship services or church events?

For more information, contact Deacon Jimmy Hedrick at jlhedrick@gmail.com.

Help Us Welcome One Another!

Looking for an opportunity to serve the body on Sunday mornings? Consider serving with the Welcome Team. We'd love your help as we seek to "welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God" (Rom. 15:7).
You can sign up to serve here!

College Collective Staff & Intern Opportunities

The Immanuel College Collective continues to grow is now looking to hire both staff and interns. There are many great opportunities to use your gifts to love and serve college students. These include evangelism, discipleship, preaching, teaching, and administration.
If you have any questions please fill out the interest form on our website or email Pastor Evan Calvin at ecalvin@immanuelky.org.

Facility Care Intern Opportunity

Immanuel's beautiful facilities are a reminder of the kindness of our Lord and his love for the nations. The task of stewarding such a gift with excellence takes a team of faithful servants. The Lord has been very gracious to provide a residential internship for three Facility Care Interns.

We currently have immediate openings!

Our Facility Care Interns live in our intern triplex on Breckinridge St adjacent to the church. Their responsibilities include: weekly cleaning of the church building, routine maintenance tasks as they are able (skills not required), and other tasks as assigned.

We are looking for single men who are members of Immanuel, who are striving to grow in holiness, and have 10 to 15 hours per week to serve the body of Christ, in exchange for a place to live with awesome Christian community!

Interested? Contact Scott Stringer at facilities@immanuelky.org.

Calling All Photographers & Videographers

Are you skilled in photography or videography and desire to serve the saints with those gifts? If so, you can! Whenever an event opportunity arises in our Immanuel family that would be beneficial to capture, it is posted to the Immanuel Photography/Videography GroupMe for anyone who is free and willing to claim it, thus, increasing the possibility of capturing more of the life of Immanuel. The commitment is minimal but the benefit is great.
Interested in being added to the group? Feel free to email Cody Farthing at cfarthing@immanuelky.org.

Elder/Deacon Candidate Testimonies

As announced at our last members' meeting, we are grateful to nominate the following men to serve as church leaders here at Immanuel. You can access each of their testimonies in the Immanuel app and we ask that you do so before voting at our upcoming members' meeting in August. Until then (and even afterward), be praying for these men and their families.

Ways to Give

Thank you so much for your continued worship of our great God through your faithful giving during this unique season. When we exclusively moved to mailed checks and online giving, you responded. Because of your sacrificial giving, we have been able to continue fully supporting our missionaries, our ministries, and our staff.

We are pleased to share that, not only can you give online, but you can now give in person once again! Giving boxes are located near the sanctuary exits.

Resources for Families

“Where is the nursing mothers’ room?” I hear you ask! The current cry room on the second floor of the building is now officially the nursing mothers’ room. Because of our recent move to one service, half of the building is empty during the worship gathering. And so, those who need to take their children to a cry room can utilize either the fellowship hall on the first floor or the McCoy room on the second floor, which will contain some toys and function as a cry room during the main worship gathering. The new nursing mothers’ room will be available during the Sunday School hour and the worship gathering. The worship gathering will also be streamed into the fellowship hall, McCoy room, and the nursing mothers’ room.
