UPCOMING EVENTS

Annual Members' Meeting (Part One) // October 20th

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, October 20th, 6:30p, for part one of Immanuel's Annual Members Meeting.

We hope that you will make plans to participate in this important meeting as the church gathers to make important decisions together, including the hearing of the 2021 State of the Church report and annual budget proposal.

We look forward to welcoming in new members and will vote to transfer or release members who have moved on. If you would like a list of transfers or releases, contact Pastor Jeff King at jking@immanuelky.org.

Immanuel Singles Conference // October 22nd–23rd

Immanuel is glad to host our first ever conference on singleness in the local church, "Built Together: By Christ, For the Church, To the World," on October 22nd–23rd! This conference is for the whole church—all are welcome! The teaching and panel discussions will focus on the reality that we are built together by Christ as one church—not two churches made up of singles and couples. The conference will ultimately help us "do singleness together," paying close attention to the realities of vocation, calling, mission, community, friendship, and dating!

Registrations received by October 11th will include a t-shirt and registration for the conference will close on October 17th. Sign up here!

ICC "Ask Anything" Lunch // October 24th

The Collective is hosting another Pastors Q&A next Sunday, October 24th, at 12:15–1:45p. We will be hearing Pastor Andy talk about missions and the local church. If you are a college student, you don’t want to miss this time. As always, there will be great food, sweet fellowship, and the opportunity to ask Pastors Andy and Evan any questions you may have. If you are interested in missions, we would love to share some next steps with you as you seek to pray and prepare for what God might have in the future! Look forward to seeing you on the 24th from 12:15–1:45p.

Women's Fall Fellowship // October 29th

Immanuel Sisters // Join us on Friday, October 29th, 7:00p, in the fellowship hall. We'll sing, fellowship, and receive teaching from our dear sister, Heather Young. Bring a friend and your favorite fall snack to share! Hope to see you then!

Last name begins with A-M: Please bring a savory snack.
Last name begins with N-Z: Please bring a sweet snack.

IY Family Lunch // November 7th

On November 7th, we are thrilled to share a meal together with both our Immanuel Youth students AND their families at 12:00p in the youth room. No agenda but to eat and enjoy one another's company (and maybe a ping pong game or two). Don't miss these opportunities to fellowship with other Immanuel Youth families as we seek together to build the next generation into a community from all cultures where Christ is King.

On the menu for November: Chili, soups, and the fixins! Please note: These lunches are potluck style, so we ask that you sign up here to bring an item if you plan to partake. You can drop off items in the youth room before the Sunday School hour begins.

SERVING OPPORTUNITIES

Security Team

Looking for an opportunity to serve the entire body? Immanuel's Security Team is currently looking to add team members to help create a warm, welcoming, and safe experience for all who visit Immanuel. This vital team faithfully monitors the security of our building and allows the body to worship without concern or worry—what a grace!

If you are interested in serving on Immanuel’s Security Team, you can express your interest here! Any questions can be directed to the Security Team Director, Scott Bentsen, at .

Transportation Team

Would you consider providing transportation for seniors or families—without their own form of transportation—to worship services or church events?

For more information, contact Deacon Jimmy Hedrick at jlhedrick@gmail.com.

Welcome Team

Looking for an opportunity to serve the body on Sunday mornings? Consider serving with the Welcome Team. We'd love your help as we seek to "welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God" (Rom. 15:7).

You can sign up to serve here!

College Collective Staff & Intern Opportunities

The Immanuel College Collective continues to grow is now looking to hire both staff and interns. There are many great opportunities to use your gifts to love and serve college students. These include evangelism, discipleship, preaching, teaching, and administration.

If you have any questions please fill out the interest form on our website or email Pastor Evan Calvin at ecalvin@immanuelky.org.

Facility Care Intern Opportunity

Immanuel's beautiful facilities are a reminder of the kindness of our Lord and his love for the nations. The task of stewarding such a gift with excellence takes a team of faithful servants. The Lord has been very gracious to provide a residential internship for three Facility Care Interns.

We currently have immediate openings!

Our Facility Care Interns live in our intern triplex on Breckinridge St adjacent to the church. Their responsibilities include: weekly cleaning of the church building, routine maintenance tasks as they are able (skills not required), and other tasks as assigned.

We are looking for single men who are members of Immanuel, who are striving to grow in holiness, and have 10 to 15 hours per week to serve the body of Christ, in exchange for a place to live with awesome Christian community!

Interested? Contact Scott Stringer at facilities@immanuelky.org.

Resources

Ways to Give

Thank you so much for your continued worship of our great God through your faithful giving during this unique season. When we exclusively moved to mailed checks and online giving, you responded. Because of your sacrificial giving, we have been able to continue fully supporting our missionaries, our ministries, and our staff.

We are pleased to share that, not only can you give online, but you can now give in person once again! Giving boxes are located near the sanctuary exits.

Resources for Families

We are grateful to offer a nursing mothers' room located off the balcony on the 2nd floor. Furthermore, a cry room is available in the fellowship hall. Both locations offer the service streamed. For directions, view our building map by clicking the desired room above.
