Application Questions

1. It can tempting to think that if we just hear one more sermon or read one more theology book or learn one more lesson we might finally get over the hump of the difficulty of sanctification. But weariness is a reality for every Christian. Pastor Ryan gave several reasons for weariness. What were they? Believer, are you currently weary? What would you point to as the reason for your weariness?

2. Paul calls us to not grow weary in well doing. Are you currently ‘giving in’ to weariness? To spiritual fatigue? Can you describe what this looks like? What would it look like for you to ‘rouse yourself from sleep’ in this season?Spend some time sharing these things and allow the rest of the group to help you think through this.

3. Brother/sister, are there any sins that you are currently hiding? Any ways that you are sowing to the flesh? Paul says the only thing this will reap is corruption. One of the greatest lies we can believe is that not confessing will keep us safe and protected.
