Visitor's Guide

We're so glad you are considering joining us this Sunday at Immanuel!

We want you to feel welcomed and prepared if you choose to gather with us for worship, so we have answered some common questions and linked to helpful pages below. If you have questions we missed, please feel free to contact us!

What time should I show up?

Services and Prayer Gatherings begin at 9:00am and 11:00am. We encourage everyone to seek to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the service, to give time to park, drop off kids [if applicable], and find a seat. Five minutes before the services start (at 8:55a and 10:55a), a prelude will begin as everyone makes their way into the auditorium.

How do I get there?

Our church building is located at 850 S 4th Street—on the corner of 4th and Breckinridge. We're the building with stairs and columns next to BBB Louisville and across from Presentation Academy.

Where should I park?

If you're visiting us for the first time, we recommend parking in our guest lot at the back of the building.

There will be a sign beside the entrance to the parking lot on Breckinridge Street. You will also see Welcome Team members with neon badges who will help if you need a hand. They will then guide you to either the auditorium for the service or to Immanuel Kids or Youth, if you have children and depending on the service you'll be attending.

Where do my kids go?

9:00 & 11:00am
Green Hall | 2nd Floor
PreK-5th Grade
Blue Hall | 3rd Floor
6th-12th Grade
Youth Room | LOWER LEVEL

A Cry Room and Nursing Mothers' Room are available at any time (located on the 2nd floor). A Sensory Room is also available for those who fill out an application.

What is a Sunday worship service like?

Our Sunday services begin with worship through music and singing (including a prelude that begins 5 minutes before the service starts), the reading of Scripture, announcements and offering, and a time of prayer. This is followed by the preaching of the Word—take a look through our sermon archives to get a feel for what it's like to sit under the Word of God preached at Immanuel. The service typically ends with a celebration of the Lord's Supper for Christians, along with 1-2 more songs of worship. Each service lasts about 90 minutes.

There is a Guest Reception following both services, and the service leader will give directions during the closing remarks. A few of our pastors and members are there to meet visitors and answer questions.

What if English is not my first language?

In building a community of people from various cultures, many different languages are spoken. We currently offer live translation of our services in the following languages:

9 am Service

  • Dari
  • Spanish

11 am Service

  • Mandarin
  • Arabic
To obtain a headset for translation on Sunday morning, please find a Welcome Team member with a yellow-green badge around their neck.
