Brothers and Sisters,

Due to the major storm headed our way, which is expected to bring heavy snowfall before, during, and after the service, we believe it is best to cancel Sunday School and our Worship Service. There will be no services this Sunday morning.

As the storm progresses, please keep GCG leaders, deacons, and pastors informed about how you are doing so we can care for one another, especially in the event of power outages or other challenges.

On Sunday morning, we encourage you to watch a favorite sermon, read a favorite passage, and pray for your fellow believers and for God's mercy on our city. I will be gathering my family to spend time in the Word, check in with one another, and pray for one another.

We trust that the same God who commands us to gather has commanded the snow to keep us home this Sunday. He is on the throne!

If you'd like to spend some time alone or with the family putting into practice a recent sermon, you could spend some time meditating and singing.

You might consider meditating on Philippians 4:4b-7.

  • You could go through the text, emphasizing one word at a time, and noticing what sticks out.
  • You could ask the text questions. Who is being spoken to?  Who is being spoken about? What is the passage commanding? What is the passage promising? Why are the commands necessary? Why are the promises good? How can I apply this passage to my life? When can I apply these verses?
You might consider singing along with the following songs.
I hope these suggestions are helpful. God bless!

In the love of Christ,

Pastor Ryan Fullerton
